Ombak Indah Losmen has 12 twin and triple share rooms, accommodating a maximum of 30 guests in style & comfort.
All rooms come equipped with:
Westerns style ensuite bathrooms
Comfortable spring base mattresseses (linen provided), fans, mosquito nets (bring your own surf towel)
Power points for charging batteries etc (two-pin Asian power points, so adaptors are required - see Power & Facilities below for details)
All rooms have a relaxing outlook to the beautiful gardens, and and from most rooms, a view of the ocean.
All the bathrooms have cold water showers. There's also an outdoor shower near the steps to the beach for an after-surf rise.
Dining & Meals
Meals are served in out large cafe overlooking the yard and reef.
Three meals per day are included, along with hot drinks and water.
Breakfast is served from 7-10am, lunch at 12 midday and dinner around 6pm.
Breakfast alternates between jaffles, omelettes, fried rice or noodles, toast & spreads, pancakes all served with fresh fruit (the range of fruit provided is subject to availability).
Lunch and dinner are local style beef, chicken or fish dishes, served with vegetables and rice. Spices are toned down for the western palette, with sambal and sauses on the side.
Servings are generous and delicious, with an extensive variety of menus.
We cater for vegetarians but due to our remote location we have difficulty providing for the dietary needs of vegans.
For those with big appetites, additional meals can be pruchased outside meal time (e.g. nasi & mie goreng, jaffles etc).
Bar, Shop & Entertainment
The Bar sells cold beer, soft drinks, water, snacks and other essential personal items. Fresh fruit juices are also available. Surf accessories (wax, leg-ropes and booties) are also available along with a small range of souvenirs, t-shirts and gifts.
For entertainment there is:
Free, fast WiFi
Table tennis table
Satelite TV/DVD for watching those essential sporting events, surf videos and shots from recent sessions.
Karaoke is held regularly for those brave enough!
There is 240 Volt AC mains electricity, with a backup generator for when the power goes down. You will require an adaptor (2 pin, standard for Asia, pins are round, not rectangular) to connect to the power points to charge your batteries etc.
The lounge in the main building has fast WiFi, free for guests.
Mobile reception (for all networks) is ok, although the signal strength can vary from time to time depending on weather. Guests with smart phones can purchase a local SIM card at the losmen to make cheap calls and get basic internet (for emails etc). Fast browsing and working with large files is best avoided.
Transport (cars and mini-vans, with or without AC) can be hired through the losmen at fixed prices. Just speak to the manager. For the more adventurous, local public transport (bemos) runs regularly along the nearby main road.
Motor bikes are available for hire, most with board racks. Motor bikes are a great way to see the area, as long as your travel insurance covers you! Speak to our authorised travel agents. Be warned, however, make sure that your travel insurance covers you for motor bike riding, and wear your helmet.
